Monday is the kickoff to Apple’s 2011 WWDC, and as always there are rumours about what to expect. Apple has already confirmed the existence of iCloud, we’ve heard rumours of a $25/year gift for iCloud, mistakenly leaked previews of Automatic Downloads, and even a ‘leaked’ iOS 5 screenshot.
We do undergo that iCloud module feature penalization streaming since Apple has subscribed deals with every field achievement labels. What added module Apple offer? We don’t undergo exactly as the company has been extremely tight-lipped (more so than before, which isn’t astonishing after last year’s iPhone 4 leak).
So what module Apple introduce tomorrow? Your surmisal is as beatific as mine. One abstract that is destined is iCloud module modify the artefact we sync our devices and modify the iOS experience.
Let’s look at whatever existing parts of iOS that badly require updating, and also features that could come tomorrow to radically decimate the requirement to jailbreak–as this continues to be a costly aching for Apple.
In no portion order:
- Mail: this hasn’t been changed, and I would aforementioned to wager better combining with Gmail, and easier and faster guidance between binary accounts. There needs to be a faster artefact to create emails.
- Notifications: this has remained the aforementioned almost since forever–and it’s going to modify drastically tomorrow. I’d aforementioned to wager a unseamed and illogical artefact to admittance and modify notifications. The life of approaching binary messages and other notifications requirement to go away.
- Further text talk choices, in portion ones that are more subtle.
- Text messaging: reply options kindred to BiteSMS.
- Settings: Ability to attain custom shortcuts for favourite settings (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc), just aforementioned SBSettings.
- A autochthonous RSS reader.
- iChat: Apple’s upcoming BBM killer. Integration with FaceTime, plus the introduction of assemble recording chat. Find my Friends. Share pictures, videos, audio, location.
- Google Maps: Turn by Turn GPS?
- Lockscreen: Apple needs to verify plus of this vacant actual estate.
- App Updates: Automatic Updates are coming as rumoured.
- Camera: filters, photobooth; launch camera via double tapping a intensity button
- iOS 5 release date: June 20th (two weeks after, just aforementioned last year); module hold iPhone 4, restricted features on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G/iPhone closed out.
- The one more abstract (a longshot)…iPhone 4S/iPhone 5 with A5, higher megapixel camera
We’ll hit comprehensive coverage of every WWDC announcements tomorrow. What would you aforementioned to wager come discover of WWDC?
