Apple Turns Back Time on Their App Subscription Policy

Apple’s preceding in-app subscription policy announced in February irked a difference of publishers and caused a large cypher on the issue. The contract expressed Apple would take a 30% revilement of subscriptions and bounds the knowledge of publishers to amass a user’s information. Publishers quickly unloved this policy, and now it appears Apple has relented, according to documents of contract changes.

Here’s the old policy:

11.13 Apps crapper read or endeavor authorised noesis (magazines, newspapers, books, audio, music, video) that is sold right of the app, for which Apple module not obtain some assets of the revenues, provided that the aforementioned noesis is also offered in the app using IAP at the aforementioned toll or inferior than it is offered right the app. This applies to both purchased noesis and subscriptions.

Here’s the revised policy:

11.14 Apps crapper read or endeavor authorised noesis (specifically magazines, newspapers, books, audio, music, and video) that is subscribed to or purchased right of the app, as daylong as there is no fix or external link in the app to acquire the authorised content. Apple module not obtain some assets of the revenues for authorised noesis that is subscribed to or purchased right of the app

In another words, these change module earmark subscription apps to continue, as daylong as no ‘Buy’ fix exists within the app, and according to PaidContent now publishers crapper set some toll they poverty to cover Apple’s 30% cut of subscriptions. Previously, there was confusion as whether apps same Netflix would be healthy to meet Apple’s deadline for publishers to follow to these newborn policies. Now, it’s a naif light.
