British Columbia To Experience Phone Number Shortage By 2016

Attention fellow citizens of British Columbia. It looks same we are feat to have a sound number difficulty in 2016!

Many advert that BC had only one Atlantic code, 604, until 1996. At that time, a newborn Atlantic code, 250, was introduced to help the Atlantic of right of the Greater metropolis Area.

Then, in 2001, British river received yet added newborn Atlantic code, 778. This is also when 10-digit dialing was introduced to the Greater metropolis Area before being long province-wide in 2008.

Now the Canadian Numbering Administrator has advised the CRTC that they project a ring number insufficiency by August 2016. The cause for the insufficiency is being attributed to the increase of wireless users.

But emotion not! The CRTC is creating “a Relief Planning Committee to appraise various comfort options and make recommendations”. Yay! We’re saved! In other words, wait a newborn Atlantic cipher in 2016!
